    The Growth Company (GC) has an exciting new opportunity for a Growth Locations Project Manager to support the Strategic Lead. You will be a part of the business in the Strategic Insight Team at the heart of the organisation under the direction of the CEO. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of GM's development of its Growth Locations, helping to support place-based inward investment, business engagement and marketing and promotion initiatives. It is a great time to be part of the wider Business Growth Hub (BGH), working on a strategically important project across GC. The role will suit somebody with a passion for business and enterprise and their role in driving economic growth and creating a more inclusive and greener economy. You will have excellent project management, teamwork and collaboration skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively. A passionate, proactive approach alongside the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders is an advantage. Since 2011, the Hub has supported more than 15,000 businesses including start-ups, scale-ups, and established businesses, providing finance guidance, creating international links, and paving the way for innovation and people development across the region. We work with the best of public and private partners, offering expert one-to-one and peer-to-peer business support, events, specialist programmes, funding, and much more. Key Responsibilities: To support business engagement activity in Growth Location areas, linking closely with BGH Key Account Managers, LA Account Managers, and key stakeholders. Provide regular updates on overall growth location activity (inward investment, business engagement and marketing and promotion) as part of the wider BGH/GC activity. Work closely with MIDAS and Marketing Manchester colleagues as part of the wider business attraction activity. Work with colleagues from Local Authorities and key stakeholders on joint initiatives. Ideally to have a strong understanding of the advanced manufacturing and materials and green industries sectors and technologies and related policy agenda. Maintain a current knowledge of the wider economic landscape and its primary influences. Specifically, you must understand the wider sectoral picture, developments in the GC delivery partner service portfolios, and wider changes in the economic and political landscapes. Work in partnership with colleagues from specialist services to deliver BGH activity to generate economic impact. Produce regular update reports on activity and relevant economic developments in growth locations. Participate and contribute to cross-organisational activity to ensure awareness of GC-specific activity in each area. About you: Ability to understand, analyse data and draw conclusions. Leadership To be confident to command trust from colleagues and stakeholders. Excellent communication skills written, oral, and broader presentation skills. Ability to focus and achieve results through the development of strategic consultative relationships at a senior level. Ability to conduct sensitive and complex negotiations to have influence and ensure the best outcomes are delivered. Ability to deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced, target-driven operational environment. Skills Required: Project management experience. Experience in strategic relationship management and proven business development ability. Previous experience in managing multiple stakeholders from both the private and public sectors. Good knowledge of one or more of Greater Manchester s frontier and foundational sectors. A sound understanding of current social, economic, and political priorities
