    An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, professional and versatile individual to join the Parts Department based at our Deeside site working Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm.

    Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be responsible for leading a busy parts department with a strong focus on achieving daily, weekly and monthly budgets for Volvo and non-Volvo parts sales whilst also managing and motivating the performance of the parts team.

    The role will also be responsible for:

    • Maximising departmental profitability and sales of both Volvo and non-Volvo parts, accessories and other value-added products and services through the effective operation of the department;
    • Enhancing the reputation of Thomas Hardie Commercials at every opportunity by building new and developing existing customer relationships and striving to exceed customer expectations;
    • To report to the Business Manager/Regional Inventory and Procedural Control Manager all departmental activities, operational problems, results, concerns, and report on systems failures and resource inadequacies.
    • To oversee all Parts processes ensuring that all administrative and clerical functions within the department are carried out in accordance with Company policies and procedures;
    • To create an environment within which the department staff can develop and excel and address performance/development issues as required.

    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

    • Previous experience of working in a Supervisory role with well-developed management and leadership skills and experience of managing staff and performance;
    • A good knowledge/previous experience of working within the Commercial Vehicle Industry;
    • Be committed to achieving excellent customer relations and able to demonstrate a clear understanding of how customer's expectations can be exceeded;
    • A positive, friendly and professional manner with the ability to work well under pressure and on their own initiative and to motivate others.
    • IT literate with Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook, Word PowerPoint and Excel;
    • Have a full and current UK driving licence.
