    Position: Behavioural Support WorkerLocation: Bredbury, StockportType: Full-Time, Long-TermSalary: £80 to £95 per day

    Qualifications:

    • Level 3 Diploma or NVQ in Child Care OR
    • Minimum two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant with evidence of training undertaken
    • Current Team Teach Certificate

    Experience and Skills:

    • Proven experience working with children with various educational needs
    • Knowledge of child development and learning processes
    • Ability to motivate and support children in Literacy and Numeracy
    • Familiarity with issues that may arise for children with Autistic or attachment needs
    • Recognising and managing escalation in a child's mood with de-escalation strategies

    Additional Knowledge and Understanding:

    • A wide range of strategies to support children with different needs
    • Stay calm and focused during a child's crisis
    • Model acceptable behaviour and encourage social skills
    • Liaise with other adults involved with the child
    • Problem-solving skills and the ability to teach new concepts to groups

    Responsibilities:

    • Work collaboratively with staff to share effective strategies
    • Provide advice and support to other team members
    • Foster a supportive environment for both students and staff
