    VRF 28688 Multi Skilled Technician Birmingham £30,000 per annum- increases to £31,000 after 12 months 37.5 hours per week Permanent Trident Group has over 60 years experience of delivering homes, services and innovation for up to 8,000 people in over 3,600 homes in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands. About the role Are you a skilled and versatile technician looking for a rewarding opportunity in the social housing sector? Join our organisation as a multi-skilled technician and take on the responsibility of delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance to our managed properties. Key Responsibilities: Timely Repairs: Respond promptly to repair requests from tenants and efficiently carry out repairs, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort. Property Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify repair needs and prepare a comprehensive list of required tasks. Diverse Skill Set: Utilize your wide range of skills and knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, plastering, tiling, painting, and more to handle various repair tasks. Safety and Quality: Work to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of our tenants. Accurate Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used, time spent, and any follow-up requirements. Excellent Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, demonstrating professionalism and effective communication. Collaborative Contribution: Be a valuable team player, sharing your expertise and knowledge to contribute to the overall success of our organization. To support our working residents, this role will include working shifts, including weekends. You will be working on a 5-day pattern with 2 days off, allowing for a balance between your personal life and professional responsibilities. By incorporating weekends into the rotation, we aim to reduce the need for our residents to book holidays for day-to-day repairs. About You Minimum Requirements for the Multi-Skilled Technician in Social Housing role: Technical Skills: Proficiency in a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, plastering, tiling, painting, electrical systems, and heating. Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in social housing or property management, demonstrating the ability to handle diverse repair challenges. Qualifications: Relevant certifications or qualifications in trades such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, or general maintenance. Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure work is carried out safely and responsibly. Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants and colleagues. Time Management: Efficient time management skills, ensuring repairs are completed promptly and in an organized manner. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure that repairs are executed to a high standard, meeting quality expectations. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, enabling quick and effective resolution of repair issues. Record-Keeping: Accurate record-keeping skills to maintain comprehensive documentation of repairs and parts used.
