Job Title: Management Accountant

We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Energy business and provide support to the work winning team in the pursuit of new business opportunities.

Responsibilities and duties relevant to this role:

Monthly Accounting

Reconciliation of key control accounts and journal postings.

Monthly management account analysis & journal posting (Accruals, Prepayments, Assets).

Assisting the Finance Controller in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and associated project and financial reports.

Day to Day duties

Preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns.

Daily cashbook posting and ad-hoc payments.

Posting of Sales invoices and providing credit control support to Commercial Department.

Internal relationships

Supporting the FC in Providing the Commercial and Contract management teams with financial analysis and administrative support to assist in the successful completion of the company s projects.

Ability to deputise for Finance Controller as required.

External Relationships

Liaising with Auditors and other professional advisors and bodies.

Liaising with suppliers, contractors and customers as required.

Other duties

Help support the implementation of system and process improvements.

The successful candidate will posses the following knowledge and skills:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, CIPFA or ACCA, AAT).

• Excellent IT skills including good Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience of working within a busy finance role including the preparation of key elements of monthly management accounts.

• Strong communication skills required as finance team spread across two sites with financial management sitting in Golborne.

Hands on individual, strong work ethic, prepared to roll up sleeves and deal with day to day financial matters as they arise whilst retaining the ability to manage time against agreed timescales.
