Ready to find the right role for you?

Salary: Competitive plus car/allowance and bonus

    Hours: 40 hours per week

When you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources, and help it become a better place for everyone. It's why we're looking for someone who sees the world in a similar way to take up an exciting national role as a Safety Training Specialist to join our dynamic team, working flexibly and on a blended basis across the UK.

Because of our responsibility when it comes to leading change, resourcing takes every single one of us, and this is how you can play your part. And if you're an experienced Training Specialist looking to support our technical and operative employees to embed a corporate safety culture within an established brand, this role will suit you perfectly.

It doesn't matter if you're looking to overhaul the industry, or just do a good day's work. We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment in small and big ways, and contribute towards our inclusive culture.

    What will you be doing?

You will work as part of a team that will challenge and influence behaviours to embed Veolia's safety culture. You will develop exciting, vibrant and engaging end to end learning development processes - from robust diagnosis of learning needs to design of engaging and relevant content - all the way through to inspirational delivery, winning the hearts and minds of our workforce.

And by delivering engaging and effective classroom and group based sessions, as well as remote and virtual learning through our digital platforms, you will regularly design and adapt the course content to match our business needs.

You'll work alongside our subject matter experts in the operational teams to ensure all training you deliver is relevant and up to date with legislation and Veolia policy and procedure, using the latest and emerging digital and mobile technologies to increase the digital literacy of our people.

    What are we looking for?

    • Strong focus on facilitation skills - effectively facilitating learning, rather than imparting information, with adaptable delivery skills including face to face and virtual classrooms
    • Actively engage and inspire learners, and challenge and positively influence behaviours in others
    • Operate at all times to ethical and legal standards, valuing diversity and promoting equality of opportunity and inclusion
    • Promote a passion for learning and have high expectations for behaviour and attitudes to shape an effective learning environment.
    • Relevant and up to date operational knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation
    • Strong IT skills to include experience of using Saba and Google suite would also be beneficial
    • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational, Health & Safety (Level 5) or equivalent and full UK driver's licence is required.
    • Having an award in Education & Training (Level 3) or CIPD qualified, (Level 3) or above would also be advantageous.

    Our promise to you

Here at Veolia, we know that a genuinely good role goes both ways.

So alongside your salary, you'll get 25 days of holiday alongside an extensive benefits package, which includes our market-leading pension and share scheme, alongside a range of employee discounts. Also to help you further, we provide mental health and financial support, so you can lean on us whenever you need to.

Apply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.
