    About Tozer House:

    Tozer House is a friendly, welcoming and forward thinking residential & short break service for adults who have learning disabilities within central Chichester. The service can support up to 15 people.

    Tozer House accommodates 15 people across two separate buildings, each of which has separate adapted facilities.

    The principles and values of our offer is to provide high quality care and support, ensuring people who have learning disabilities and autism who are supported by the team at Tozer House live a full life where they are at the centre of having choice and control over their everyday lives.

    About The Job

    Salary: £20,258 per annum (pro rata for part time) £10.50 per hour Working Pattern: Part-time (8 hours per week)Contract Length: Permanent Location: Tozer House, Chichester

    We're looking for one Housekeeper to work as part of a dedicated team to ensure that the general cleanliness and hygiene of the home is of the highest standard!

    This is an active role, for example, you will be lifting or carrying buckets of water, pushing or pulling vacuum cleaners and trolleys, and rubbing or scrubbing surfaces and windows

    As a Housekeeper, you will:

    • Be responsible for maintaining the home to a high standard of cleanliness in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
    • Clean all residential rooms including communal areas, offices, kitchens, and bathrooms from top to bottom.
    • Complete simple records and returns as required.

    This role requires the successful candidates to work two weekdays from 09:am to 13:00am. Days of the week to be agreed.

    Experience and Skills

    Key Skills:

    1. Ability to undertake a wide range of cleaning tasks.
    2. Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with service users, staff and visitors at the centre.
    3. Ability to have a flexible approach to allocated duties and work as part of a team.
    4. Ability to be sensitive to the needs of the service users.

    Qualifications and/or experience:

    • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
    • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety.
    • Knowledge of COSHH regulations. Desirable
    • Experience of using a range of cleaning equipment including powered equipment. Desirable
    • Experience of working as a cleaner in paid employment. Desirable
